Sandestin begins restoration of The Raven with eye toward bringing pro golf back to the resort

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort plans to close its primary tournament layout, The Raven Golf Club, for the first nine months of 2027 to undergo extensive renovations and restoration work. Led by original architect Bruce Charlton of Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects, the project aims to modernize infrastructure while preserving the layout's characteristic pine and wetland scenery, all with the ultimate goal of attracting professional golf tours back to the destination.
