During a media session with JioStar, Indian international Rohit Sharma discussed his longstanding teammate Virat Kohli, expressing admiration for the leadership approach Kohli brought to the national Test squad. Rohit highlighted the strong mutual respect shared between the two veterans, noting that their interactions frequently involve evaluating each other's batting performances to offer constructive feedback.
Kohli captained the Test team across 68 matches from 2014 through 2022, securing 40 victories, 17 losses, and 11 draws, resulting in a win percentage of 58.82. Following that tenure, Rohit himself led the red-ball side in 24 matches between 2022 and 2024, achieving 12 wins, nine defeats, and three draws for a 50 percent success rate.
