Lhuan-dre Pretorius delivered a historic performance for the Titans against the Knights during the CSA T20 Challenge, finishing with an unbeaten 188 runs from 79 balls. This extraordinary knock eclipsed Chris Gayle's long-standing benchmark of 175 not out, establishing a new global standard for the highest individual score in men's T20 cricket.
The young left-hander reached his half-century in 24 deliveries before accelerating to three figures in 40 balls, eventually striking 13 sixes and 15 fours as his team amassed 267 for 3.
Pretorius also tied the record for facing the most deliveries in a single men's T20 innings, matching Aaron Finch and Marcus Stoinis. The opening batter entered the fixture following strong recent displays during a September tri-series against Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Meanwhile, the Titans maintained their dominance within the tournament, holding multiple top team totals alongside previous individual milestones previously set by Dewald Brevis.
