Fast bowler Craig Miles has ended his professional cricket career at age thirty-two to focus on his psychological well-being. The experienced seamer played for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire during a sixteen-season tenure, accumulating 512 total wickets.
He debuted as a sixteen-year-old in May 2011, establishing himself quickly in the county circuit and later contributing to Warwickshire's 2021 Championship title.
After stepping away following the initial T20 Blast matches in June 2026, Miles determined that returning to the sport was unsustainable due to recurring struggles with the intense pressures of professional competition. He acknowledged assistance from the Professional Cricketers' Association, Sporting Chance, relatives, and his former Gloucestershire teammates as he concludes his athletic journey.
