Rashid Khan reached a historic milestone in Sharjah, becoming the first bowler to claim 200 wickets in men's T20I cricket. The leg-spinner achieved this feat in his 120th match by dismissing Tadiwanashe Marumani, finishing with figures of 1/29.
In the same contest, Afghanistan secured a 19-run victory over Zimbabwe after a remarkable batting recovery. Azmatullah Omarzai led the charge with a 116-run century, while Ijaz Ahmadzai contributed 52 runs to set a record sixth-wicket partnership of 142.
Rashid Khan also added a quick 25 not out, helping his side reach 221/7 despite an early collapse. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza responded with a century of his own, but his efforts were not enough to overcome the target.
