UFC Vegas 124: Waldo Cortes Acosta confident he will KO Johnny Walker

Waldo Cortes Acosta entered UFC Vegas 124 with a clear message: he aims to finish Johnny Walker in the main event. The bout, scheduled for Saturday night on Paramount+, marks a clash of former title challengers inside the UFC’s Meta Apex facility in Las Vegas.

Cortes Acosta’s confidence ahead of the fight was evident during media day, where he and Walker engaged with reporters. Meanwhile, the card also features a last-minute addition: Carlos Calderon will step in to face Austin Bashi after just four days of preparation, making his UFC debut on short notice.

Earlier this week, undefeated finisher Akbar Abdullaev secured a UFC contract following a 19-second victory in a Dana White Contender Series bout.
