Nelly Korda has secured the LPGA’s Rolex Player of the Year award for a second time, this year with a season still very much in play. After winning four tournaments so far in 2026, Korda’s dominance has mathematically sealed the title with three events remaining—mirroring her 2024 victory, when she also clinched the honor early.
The accolade carries more than just prestige: POY winners earn a point toward LPGA Hall of Fame eligibility, and Korda now stands at 26 points, just one away from the threshold. With two more tournaments left—the Annika and the CME Group Championship—she could complete her Hall of Fame journey by year’s end, needing only one more win to lock it in.
Korda’s path to immortality has been marked by major victories, including the Chevron Championship and the U.S. Open, which already pushed her to 25 points earlier this season.
Though she’s remained unfazed by the milestone, her scoring average of 69.38—currently the lowest on tour—demonstrates her sustained excellence, though she’ll fall short of the Vare Trophy due to not meeting the required rounds played.
