Rory McIlroy makes serious accusation about LIV Golf wanting to 'destroy' the European Tour

Rory McIlroy has publicly supported claims made by DP World Tour CEO Guy Kinnings regarding the aggressive expansion tactics of LIV Golf. Both men allege that the breakaway circuit explicitly stated intentions to dismantle the European tour while recruiting talent and sponsors.

McIlroy noted that these sentiments were openly shared by LIV representatives at Augusta. Following financial struggles and a bankruptcy filing in September, the future of the LIV project remains unclear as former participants look to rejoin the DP World Tour for the 2027 season.
