Packers move WR Bo Melton back up to 53-man roster

Wide receiver Bo Melton has returned to the Green Bay Packers' 53-man roster. Prior to the regular season opener against the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay had temporarily promoted both Melton and linebacker Kristian Welch from the practice squad.

League guidelines permit franchises up to two standard elevations per contest, capping each individual player at three promotions across a campaign.

The roster adjustments came ahead of a challenging Week 1 divisional clash that saw Green Bay fall to Minnesota by a score of 39-22 after conceding 29 unanswered points in the second half. Offensive backfield snaps in that contest were handled exclusively by Chris Brooks and MarShawn Lloyd, while rookie Kaleb Johnson did not see playing time on offense.
