The NFL has taken swift action against two officials following confrontations with players during Week 4 games. Referee Adrian Hill was suspended for one game after a heated exchange with Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson during Minnesota’s 15-10 victory over the Dolphins.
The incident occurred when Hill was knocked to the ground during a scuffle involving Wilson and Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon, leading to Hill aggressively confronting Wilson afterward. Separately, line judge Jeff Seeman was suspended for two games after a verbal altercation with Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during the Giants’ 36-24 win over the Cardinals.
The NFL cited both officials for unprofessional conduct, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable and must be addressed consistently. The suspensions will see Hill return in Week 6 and Seeman in Week 7, as the league continues to enforce standards of professionalism on the field.
