Alex Ovechkin has confirmed that the 2026-2027 campaign will be his final season in the NHL. Following the announcement, ticket prices for his remaining appearances have surged, with the cost for his final home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins more than doubling to a minimum of $827.
The average price for that April 4 contest has reached $1,959, while some premium seats are listed as high as $17,296. The 41-year-old forward, who was the top overall pick in 2004 and holds the league record for career goals, intends to spend his last year celebrating with his family and supporters.
His career will conclude on April 10 with a road game against the Philadelphia Flyers, where entry prices have also risen to a starting point of $257.
