Namibia achieved a monumental milestone by defeating Ireland by five wickets in their final encounter to secure a 3-2 bilateral series victory, marking their very first triumph against a Full Member nation. After losing the toss, the bowling attack dismantled the opposition for a meager 129 runs in 33.1 overs, anchored by stellar performances with the ball.
The successful chase was then completed efficiently in just 21.2 overs to seal the historic series win.
JJ Smit spearheaded the bowling effort by claiming four wickets for 20 runs, while Jack Brassell contributed three scalps to derail the innings following a middle-order collapse. During the run chase, Louren Steenkamp top-scored with 46 runs, and captain Gerhard Erasmus added a quick 30 before Zane Green hit the winning maximum to finish the contest.
