Chinmay Sutar wrote his name into domestic cricket history by registering an unbeaten quadruple century while representing Mizoram in their fixture against Nagaland. The former Mumbai competitor reached the landmark milestone in dominant fashion at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Sovima, hitting forty-six boundaries and seven maximums before the innings concluded.
Only one other batter had previously achieved a quadruple hundred in the national tournament, dating back to 1948. Sutar joined an elite global company of first-class athletes to cross the four-hundred threshold, following an impressive start to his campaign that included an opening appearance where he narrowly missed a century.
