Jameis Winston: I'd love to put myself in a better position to execute

Following a 34-27 defeat to the Saints, Giants quarterback Jameis Winston faces uncertainty regarding his starting role. After throwing an early touchdown, Winston was benched following two second-half interceptions and a 34-point unanswered run by the opposition.

He expressed a desire to improve his personal execution while deferring the final decision on the starting lineup to head coach John Harbaugh.

J.J. McCarthy replaced Winston in the fourth quarter and led the team to 17 points, nearly orchestrating a comeback victory. The Giants acquired McCarthy following an injury to Jaxson Dart, and his performance has made him a strong candidate to take over the starting position moving forward.
