MarShawn Lloyd ineffective in Week 1

Green Bay suffered a rough defeat against Minnesota to kick off the 2026 campaign, with running back MarShawn Lloyd struggling to make an impact during the season opener. Lloyd, selected in the third round of the 2024 draft, stepped into backfield duties alongside Chris Brooks while primary rusher Josh Jacobs remained sidelined on the Commissioner's Exempt List.

Green Bay was also missing standout edge rusher Micah Parsons, who is rehabilitating a torn anterior cruciate ligament on the reserve/physically unable to perform list.

Lloyd entered the road matchup ranked 33rd among running backs by Pro Football Network, yet the offense faltered despite initial hopes of establishing a ground attack. Green Bay's lineup adjustments ultimately proved insufficient against their division rivals, leaving questions surrounding the offense after a lopsided opening-week setback.
