Liverpool considering €100 million move for Real Madrid captain – report

The Premier League side is reportedly weighing up a massive nine-figure bid to secure the services of the versatile Uruguayan midfielder. Despite the potential financial windfall, the Spanish giants view the team captain as an indispensable leader under their manager's current tactical setup.

While the English club sees the star player as a vital engine room reinforcement to offset potential roster changes involving their Argentine teammate, the Santiago Bernabeu hierarchy has no plans to authorize a departure. The manager has heavily relied on his physical intensity and adaptability, recently deploying him successfully in a defensive role.
