Jon Rahm, the former LIV Golf star, remains uncertain about his future on the PGA Tour after announcing his departure from the league amid financial instability. Speaking from Yas Links in Abu Dhabi during a DP World Tour Playoffs event, Rahm admitted he has not yet discussed a potential return to the PGA Tour for 2027, leaving his path unclear.
If reinstatement isn’t possible, he plans to focus on the DP World Tour, where the top 10 finishers earn automatic PGA Tour eligibility. Rahm also hinted he might accept the same penalties Brooks Koepka faced upon his return—including a five-year forfeiture of PGA Tour equity, estimated at up to $85 million—but doubts such an offer will materialize.
Koepka’s reinstatement came with strict conditions, including a $5 million charitable donation, marking one of the most significant financial repercussions in professional sports history.
