Ben Shelton Sets Record Straight on Ferrero Signing Amid Andy Roddick’s ‘Revenge’ Theory

Ben Shelton has added former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero to his coaching staff following a successful 2026 US Open campaign. The American player, who recently defeated Cameron Norrie 6-3, 6-4 at the Rolex Paris Masters, believes Ferrero will help improve his clay court performance while working alongside his father, Bryan Shelton.

Shelton initiated the partnership after discovering through his agent that the coach was available, despite online rumors linking the Spaniard to Rafael Jodar. Andy Roddick has publicly speculated on the motivations behind this new coaching arrangement.
