Jacob Duffy reveals what makes Virat Kohli so difficult to bowl to

Virat Kohli delivered another masterclass in batting, anchoring India’s five-wicket ODI triumph over New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland. The former Indian captain smashed an aggressive 74 off just 51 deliveries, including 13 boundaries and a six, as India chased down the revised target of 143 in 22.4 overs—despite the match being reduced to 32 overs per side due to rain.

New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy admitted Kohli’s relentless intent made the chase nearly impossible, praising his ability to handle the Eden Park bounce with effortless hook and pull shots, even smashing powerful drives down the ground. Duffy, who has shared the Royal Challengers Bengaluru dressing room with Kohli, noted the Indian batter’s consistency over years, including dominant displays in net sessions in Bengaluru.

Kohli’s performance also marked another milestone, breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s records in the process.
