Zadran paired with Sediqullah Atal to recover the innings, steering their side to 41 for one by the close of the powerplay. The duo carried their combined stand beyond the fifty-run threshold to reach 51 for one after eight overs, before Nitish Kumar Reddy eventually stepped in to secure India's second wicket.
