Golden Nuggets: Eddy Pineiro remains the league’s sickest kicker

The San Francisco 49ers might be forced to find an alternate option at kicker ahead of their Week 2 contest against the Miami Dolphins. Thirty-one-year-old Eddy Pineiro sat out his third consecutive practice session due to sickness and is officially listed as questionable.

The team also designated Kaelon Black as questionable on its injury report as it aims to open the season with a 2-0 record.

Miami enters the matchup dealing with concerns of its own, as Chop Robinson remains in concussion protocol. The Dolphins will look to revitalize an offense that saw running back De'Von Achane gain only 36 yards on 11 attempts during their previous game against the Las Vegas Raiders, a contest in which quarterback Malik Willis also utilized his running ability.
