Florida State football rumors: Jimbo Fisher buzz getting louder, and even viral haters are on board

Rumors are swirling around Florida State regarding a potential return for former head coach Jimbo Fisher as pressure mounts on current leader Mike Norvell. Fisher previously led the program to massive success, including an undefeated run to a national championship in 2013, before making a controversial departure for Texas A&M in 2017.

Following his exit, subsequent coaches Willie Taggart and Norvell experienced mixed results, culminating in a dismal slump following an Orange Bowl defeat.

During his original tenure, Fisher engaged in public altercations with supporters Mike Tomkiewicz and John Stevens during turbulent moments. Despite past friction and viral confrontations, both individuals now express support for a reunion as the program struggles through a difficult stretch.

Fisher has since mended fences with at least one of his former critics after moving back to the area following his tenure with the Aggies.
