Fantasy Football Backup RB Rankings: Kyle Monangai has plenty of standalone flex value in Week 2 on potent Bears offense

Kyle Monangai is drawing notable fantasy appeal heading into Week 2 after delivering an impressive opening performance for Chicago. The rookie back reached the 100-yard mark and scored a touchdown in Week 1, highlighted by a 61-yard scoring dash during a decisive victory over Carolina that also featured standout moments from quarterback Caleb Williams.

Monangai's explosive introduction establishes him as a viable flex option within an energized offense, even while teammate D'Andre Swift surged up the depth chart following a three-touchdown outing.

Across the rest of the league, backfield hierarchies are rapidly crystallizing ahead of the next slate of games. Jahmyr Gibbs tops multiple positional boards entering a matchup with Buffalo, with Bijan Robinson and Derrick Henry trailing closely behind as premier workhorses.

Meanwhile, fantasy managers assessing depth options are monitoring David Montgomery and Bucky Irving after strong opening days, while scouring waiver wires for alternative contributors like Kaelon Black, Tyler Shough, Bryce Young, and Denzel Boston.
