Eagles notebook: Tanner McKee still leaning on Jalen Hurts

Although sidelined for the remainder of the 2026 season due to lung blood clots, starting quarterback Jalen Hurts continues to support his backup, Tanner McKee. McKee, who will make his third straight start on Sunday night against the Commanders, noted that Hurts has been texting him ideas and perspectives to help guide the offense.

Meanwhile, left tackle Jordan Mailata has emerged as a key veteran leader for the squad, drawing on lessons from former teammates like Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox to help the team navigate its current struggles.
