Derrick Henry stomps Colts for three TDs in Week 1 romp

Derrick Henry turned in a commanding performance to guide the Baltimore Ravens to a 41-23 triumph against the Indianapolis Colts in their season opener. The 32-year-old running back racked up 144 rushing yards and found the end zone three times, propelling Baltimore to a commanding 31-13 advantage by the midway point.

In doing so, Henry reached 124 career scores on the ground, overtaking Hall of Fame runner Marcus Allen to claim sole possession of third place in league history behind only Emmitt Smith and LaDainian Tomlinson.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson also excelled in head coach Jesse Minter's inaugural game, compiling 324 passing yards alongside scores both through the air and with his legs to rebound from his challenging 2025 campaign. Operating in his third year with Baltimore and his overall eleventh year in professional football since entering the league in 2016, Henry overpowered an Indianapolis defensive front that had ranked third-best in limiting contact-adjusted rushing yards the previous year.
