Cristante: Roma ‘must improve’ but Man United penalty ‘very doubtful’

Following a tight European fixture, visiting midfielder Bryan Cristante admitted his squad needs to address recurring defensive lapses after surrendering an early advantage abroad. The Italian club controlled the opening period and built a two-goal cushion within the initial twenty minutes, yet ultimately dropped the contest following a flurry of successful attacks by the hosts after halftime.

Cristante pointed out that his team has repeatedly surrendered multi-goal leads in recent months, noting a strikingly similar collapse during an earlier home fixture against Madrid. Addressing the turning point of the latest match, the veteran player questioned the validity of a controversial penalty awarded early in the second half, though he emphasized that defensive organization and overall focus must improve significantly across the entire roster.
