Milwaukee secured their first World Series win since 1982 in a tense Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Brewers led 3-1 in the ninth inning at American Family Field when the Rays loaded the bases with one out. Trevor Megill faced Liam Hicks, who hit a grounder that Brice Turang attempted to turn into a double play.
While it initially seemed Cooper Pratt kept the runner at second, a replay review overturned the call, ruling Junior Caminero safe. This allowed a run to score, narrowing the gap to 3-2, but Megill eventually struck out Jonny DeLuca to end the game.
Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on FOX, FOX Deportes, and FOX One.
