Jackson Chourio, 22, helped the Brewers lead the World Series with a 3-2 victory over the Rays on Friday. He recorded two hits in four at-bats, a run, and an RBI single on the first pitch from Kevin Kelly in the seventh inning to provide a necessary two-run cushion.
Chourio now holds the Brewers' franchise records for most postseason RBIs and home runs.
Legends Derek Jeter and David Ortiz lauded the young star's aggressive, fearless approach at the plate. Jeter noted that Chourio's presence is obvious even when watching the game without sound, while Ortiz praised his ability to hit for both power and average.
The series moves to American Family Field on Saturday before eventually heading to Tropicana Field.
