Baylor Fires Head Coach Dave Aranda Midway Through Seventh Season

Baylor University has made the decision to remove Dave Aranda from his position as head football coach during his seventh year at the helm. The move follows a narrow 25-24 defeat on the road against the Kansas Jayhawks, which brought the squad's record to four wins and three losses following a previous defeat by TCU.

Athletic director Doug McNamee issued a public statement praising Aranda's integrity and accomplishments while confirming that leadership changes were deemed necessary for the athletic program. The team is scheduled to continue its campaign against UCF at Acrisure Bounce House.
