49ers lose to the Falcons in a game full of turnovers and mistakes

The San Francisco 49ers opened the game with a 64-yard touchdown march, featuring strong runs by Christian McCaffrey. After McCaffrey exited due to a thigh injury, rookie Kaelon Black stepped in with a 30-yard scoring run to extend the lead to 14-3.

Atlanta responded before halftime with a field goal following an offsides penalty.

In the second half, Michael Penix connected with Kyle Pitts for a five-yard touchdown to put Atlanta ahead 19-14. San Francisco squandered additional chances as Brock Purdy threw an interception deep in opponent territory, and the visiting defense struggled with multiple penalties and coverage breakdowns.
