Atletico hit back at Mourinho for ref criticism after derby defeat

Following a weekend derby match that ended in a two to one defeat, Atletico Madrid responded sharply to complaints raised by Jose Mourinho regarding officiating decisions. During a media briefing after the fixture, the manager utilized printed materials to highlight specific fouls involving Cristian Romero and Lee Kang-in that he argued warranted dismissals.

On Monday, Atletico published digital content across social media featuring a printed sign bearing a hashtag demanding an end to referee harassment alongside imagery of the opposing coach.
