3 Reasons Why the Jaguars Beat the Browns

The Jacksonville Jaguars kicked off their 2026 regular season in commanding fashion with a 34-10 triumph over the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium on September 13, 2026. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence directed the blowout by tallying four touchdowns, which included an early 30-yard scoring strike to receiver Parker Washington that followed a takeaway by the Jacksonville defense.

Lawrence, now in his second campaign under head coach Liam Coen, also linked up with Jakobi Meyers during the opening quarter of the rout.

Jacksonville's smothering defensive unit set the tone throughout the home opener, neutralizing Cleveland's offense from the start. The Browns faltered significantly in the lopsided Week 1 matchup, which had generated preseason hype as the Travis Hunter Bowl, leaving Cleveland with an opening-week defeat while the Jaguars secured a decisive initial victory.
