Seahawks QB Sam Darnold to miss Week 9 with quad injury, Drew Lock expected to start

Seattle head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed on Wednesday that Sam Darnold will be sidelined for the upcoming Week 9 game against the Arizona Cardinals. The quarterback sustained a quadriceps issue during the final stages of Monday night's defeat to Chicago.

Drew Lock is slated to take over the starting role for the contest. Jalen Milroe is also preparing for potential action, as Lock has been managing an elbow ailment recently.

Lock previously filled in for two games earlier this season, both of which resulted in victories for the Seahawks.
