Tucker Kraft agrees to contract extension with Packers, earns top-three deal among tight ends, per report

Just a day ahead of their 2026 opener, the Green Bay Packers locked in tight end Tucker Kraft with a four-year contract extension valued at $75 million. Featuring a $26.5 million signing bonus, the deal averages $18.75 million annually, placing Kraft third at his position behind only George Kittle and Trey McBride, with performance incentives capable of boosting the total payout to $92 million.

Selected in round three of the 2023 draft, Kraft broke out during his sophomore season with 707 yards and seven scores. Despite suffering a torn ACL eight games into 2025 while tracking toward over 1,000 yards, 60 receptions, and 12 touchdowns, he still paced all tight ends that year in yards per catch (15.3) and yards after the catch (344), while tallying 489 yards and six scores.

Kraft's historical production makes him only the third tight end since 2000—alongside Rob Gronkowski and Mark Andrews—to collect at least 100 receptions, 1,500 yards, and 15 touchdowns across his opening three campaigns. Shortly after Kraft's signing, fellow 2023 draftee Michael Mayer also capitalized on the booming market, agreeing to a three-year, $45 million extension with the Las Vegas Raiders that features $30 million guaranteed.
