Kenneth Walker III and Chiefs run roughshod over Broncos; Michigan climbs CFB Power Rankings

Kenneth Walker III enjoyed a remarkable Kansas City debut on Monday night, racking up 173 rushing yards and a pair of total touchdowns to guide the Chiefs to a dominant 31-10 victory over the Broncos. The lopsided defeat marked a rocky start for Denver in its opening test under new offensive coordinator Davis Webb.

Meanwhile, in Detroit, the Lions learned that running back Isiah Pacheco will likely be sidelined for approximately 12 weeks after undergoing back surgery, solidifying Jahmyr Gibbs's heavy workload in the backfield.

Elsewhere in the sports world, both the Dodgers and the Yankees secured their spots in the MLB postseason on Monday, with Los Angeles clinching by defeating the Reds as they pursue a third consecutive championship. In college athletics, Florida State officially dismissed athletic director Michael Alford following another sluggish start by the Seminoles' struggling football team.
