Shreyas Iyer expressed disbelief at the batting display from Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during India's third T20I victory against New Zealand. The opening pair combined for 133 runs, including a record-breaking 118 in the Powerplay, to help chase down a target of 199 in just 13.2 overs.
This result secured a 3-0 series lead for the visitors. Despite a career-best 89 not out from Daryl Mitchell, the hosts were limited to 198 runs, with Iyer noting that the pitch conditions were significantly more difficult for batting when he and Sanju Samson arrived at the crease.
