Kalen DeBoer Sends a Powerful Message About Alabama Football’s Standard With Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. Dismissal

Head coach Kalen DeBoer has removed defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. from the Alabama football roster following the player's recent arrest on misdemeanor charges of doxing and harassing communications directed at a university police officer.

This dismissal follows a prior suspension Kirkpatrick served during the 2025 season related to reckless endangerment and traffic-related offenses. DeBoer stated the decision was necessary to uphold the program's established standards and accountability expectations.

The move comes after Kirkpatrick had previously been sidelined for a team rules violation ahead of Alabama's 31-20 win over Texas A&M.
