Daniel Cormier explains to Sean O'Malley why his name wasn't mentioned at UFC 333

Daniel Cormier addressed concerns regarding his post-fight interview at UFC 333, where he highlighted Song Yadong instead of Sean O'Malley following Petr Yan's title defense against Merab Dvalishvili. Cormier clarified that he was prompted by production staff to mention Song, who was present at the event, and admitted he momentarily overlooked O'Malley's previous victory over that same opponent.

O'Malley confirmed there is no lingering tension between them, despite earlier career suspicions that the commentator might have been biased against him. Cormier acknowledged that O'Malley remains a top contender for the championship title.
