Yahoo Sports launches new fantasy basketball game for NBA on Prime Broadcasts

Yahoo Sports has introduced Perfect 5, a free fantasy basketball game tailored for weekly NBA on Prime broadcasts. Participants manage a $15 salary cap to select five athletes from the featured doubleheader games, with player costs ranging from $1 to $5.

Scoring is determined by standard statistical categories including points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and successful three-point shots. Users compete for rewards in the Yahoo Sports Shop by ranking in the weekly top five, or they can challenge friends and fellow fans in private or team-specific public leagues.

General Manager Jarrod Schwarz noted that the format aims to enhance the viewing experience for Prime subscribers alongside traditional season-long fantasy leagues. The inaugural competition begins October 23, featuring matchups between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics, followed by the Houston Rockets versus the San Antonio Spurs.
