Ahead of the Thursday night matchup against the Bears, Ben Johnson has praised the dual-threat capabilities of Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. Johnson noted that Maye's ability to combine long-range passing with his running ability makes him a significant threat.
The quarterback's recent performance has improved significantly, highlighted by a 374-yard, four-touchdown game against Las Vegas in Week 5, followed by a 235-yard, three-touchdown performance against the Jets. Over the course of the season, Maye has accumulated 185 rushing yards and one touchdown, along with 1,463 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions on 63.9 percent completions.
Josh McDaniels serves as the Patriots' offensive coordinator, managing the ability of his players despite potential offensive line shortages.
