Winless Spurs remain goalless after another bore draw against Everton

Roberto De Zerbi's heavily invested Tottenham squad faced jeers from their home supporters after being held to a 0-0 stalemate by an undefeated Everton side. The result marks the first time in club history that Spurs have failed to find the net in their initial four league fixtures of a campaign, extending their Premier League scoring drought beyond 400 minutes and matching a 20-year club record for four consecutive matches without a goal.

Early on, Jan Paul van Hecke squandered the hosts' clearest opening by lifting Andy Robertson's free kick over the bar, while James Garner forced Tottenham keeper Antonin Kinsky into the match's first on-target save just before the interval, confirming Spurs' 26th top-flight game without a first-half goal since the beginning of last season.

64 expected goals and only two efforts on target, the first of which was a tame 47th-minute strike by Mateus Fernandes that drew mocking cheers from the stands. Everton pushed for their first away victory in league play since February, threatening when Kinsky blocked a Thierno Barry header and later survived his own errant pass directly to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, while former Spurs attacker Brennan Johnson fired another prime opportunity off target.

Jordan Pickford preserved the shutout late on, recovering from his own turnover in the 89th minute to deny Lucas Bergvall.
