Branthwaite Gets 8, Barry With 7.5 | Everton Players Rated In Narrow Win Vs Newcastle United

Everton secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Newcastle United in a Premier League clash at St. James’ Park, marking their first away win of the season.

The Toffees held firm for much of the match, with a goalless first half setting the tone for a tense encounter. Thierno Barry broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, capitalizing on Everton’s defensive solidity to give his side the lead.

The win was further secured by a strong defensive performance, with Jarrad Branthwaite standing out as a standout performer with an 8/10 rating, dominating aerial duels at the back. Jordan Pickford also earned praise for his clean sheet, while Jake O’Brien and James Tarkowski contributed solid defensive displays.

Meanwhile, Jacob Ramsey’s early red card in stoppage time added a late twist to the match, leaving Everton with a narrow but crucial three points on the road.
