Why British tennis fans should feel excited about the new season despite disappointing 2026

Harriet Dart captured her maiden WTA tournament victory by triumphing over Lilli Tagger in the Guangzhou Open final, a breakthrough that lifts her inside the top eighty-three players globally and establishes her as the third-ranked British singles competitor. Despite struggles for other compatriots like Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper amid fitness setbacks, fans can look forward to bright prospects ahead of 2027 following strong showings from Katie Boulter, Arthur Fery, and Sonay Kartal over the past year.
