When are the Padres playing the Cubs? MLB announces wild card game times

Major League Baseball has released the schedule and start times for the upcoming wild card round, locking in the dates for the San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs. The three-game series is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 29, and run through Thursday, October 1, with all matchups hosted at Petco Park.

Every game in the opening round is set to commence at 7 p.m. Pacific Time, though potential Game 3 scenarios on October 1 introduce alternate start times depending on the status of other postseason series across the league.

Should the Padres advance past the wild card round, they will move on to the National League Division Series to face the Milwaukee Brewers.
