What will the 49ers do during De’Zhaun Stribling’s absence?

San Francisco kicked off the regular season with a 27-7 triumph over the Los Angeles Rams on a Thursday night in Melbourne, Australia. Brock Purdy directed the offensive charge as the squad turned a 10-7 intermission edge into a runaway by racking up 17 unanswered points throughout the final two quarters.

However, the victory was dampened late in the first half when wideout De'Zhaun Stribling went down without contact, unable to put weight on his left foot before receiving assistance toward the sideline evaluation area.

Subsequent evaluations confirmed the second-round newcomer avoided an Achilles disaster and is instead coping with an ankle deltoid sprain. Stribling is projected to sit out for a minimum of four weeks, temporarily reducing the pass-catching depth for the 49ers over at least the next month.
