Wasteful Forest held by Ipswich amid VAR controversy

Nottingham Forest struggled to convert their dominance into a victory during a 1-1 draw against Ipswich. Despite creating significant scoring opportunities and outshooting their opponents, the visitors only managed a single goal from Neco Williams before Julio Enciso equalized following a defensive error by Nikola Milenkovic.

The match featured a contentious officiating moment when Issa Diop received only a yellow card for a challenge on James McAtee, a decision manager Oliver Glasner publicly disputed as incorrect. Liam Delap and Callum Hudson-Odoi both missed chances to secure a win, while Leif Davis made multiple goal-line clearances to preserve the point for the hosts.

Forest continues to underperform relative to their expected goals metrics, having secured only one win in eight league appearances.
