Warriors star Steph Curry ties LeBron James for age-defying NBA record in win

Stephen Curry's 44-point explosion in the Warriors' 119-114 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday was a historic landmark. By reaching 15 career 40-point games after age 35, he has matched LeBron James for the NBA'-s most 40-point performances by a player of that age group.

Curry's scoring-heavy second quarter, where he shot 11-for-27 from the floor and 6-for-16 from deep, included a own-of-16 free-throw shooting perfection. He currently sits ahead of active players Kevin Durant and James Harden, leading the ability to break the record-holder LeBron James's mark.

He has a real shot at retiring as the sole leader in this category.
