Vienna Open confirmed to have set new record following Carlos Alcaraz’s title-winning campaign

Carlos Alcaraz recently captured the championship trophy at the Vienna Open during his inaugural appearance at the competition. The young tennis star secured the title match victory against Alex de Minaur with straight-set scores of 6-1 and 6-4.

Throughout the tournament, the Spanish competitor also notched wins over Karen Khachanov, Nikolos Basilashvili, Tommy Paul, and Daniil Medvedev. Tournament organizers reported a record-setting turnout of ninety thousand spectators for the event held in the Austrian capital, representing a noticeable daily boost at the Marx Halle venue compared to the previous year.

Having wrapped up his campaign in Austria, the high-profile athlete has shifted his focus to France for the Paris Masters. As the second seed in the upcoming tournament, he holds a first-round bye and awaits the winner of the opening matchup between Alex Michelsen and Jiri Lehecka.
