Texas left tackle Trevor Goosby is out for the remainder of the year following a knee injury sustained during the first quarter of a 34-27 victory over Ole Miss on Saturday. The first-round NFL prospect and former All-SEC honoree was carted off the field and later seen on crutches after a locker room evaluation.
Coach Steve Sarkisian noted the injuries to Goosby and receiver Cam Coleman appeared severe, though he lacked specific details immediately after the game. Senior Andre Cojoe stepped in at left tackle, allowing only two sacks of Arch Manning.
While Cojoe has played in seven games this year and 11 total, Texas currently ranks 117th in the nation by allowing 2.71 sacks per game.
