The 49ers will be without De’Zhaun Stribling for over 2 months, while Jake Tonges’s season is over

The San Francisco 49ers began their campaign with a 27-7 triumph against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia, but the victory came with severe physical setbacks. First-year wideout De'Zhaun Stribling, chosen in the second round out of Ole Miss, sustained a deltoid ankle sprain during the matchup.

The team placed Stribling on injured reserve on Wednesday, sidelining him for at least four contests and potentially up to ten weeks.

San Francisco suffered another major blow on offense as tight end Jake Tonges dealt with an MCL sprain during the Week 1 clash. Tonges has also been shifted to injured reserve, bringing an abrupt finish to his season as the club reorganizes its active roster heading into Week 2.
